FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How can I help Haiti and the earthquake victims?

A: You can best help Haiti and the earthquake victims by donating to missions and church organizations or by joining them in relief mission trips (see schedule on Missions Trips page).

Q: Why should I help Christian organizations?

A: Because that's their primary mission. They do what they do because of Christ-Jesus, not just because it's the trend now. Many are based or have been operating in Haiti for many years before the earthquake and have extensive networks on the ground.

Q: How can I contact those Christian Organizations?

A: You can contact them by going to the Missions, Churches, Ministries, and Diaspora Churches on this website for phone, email, address and contact names information.

Q: What kind of aid is needed on the ground?

A: Name it, it's needed. Early on, food and medical care and supplies were most needed. Though they're still in need, reconstruction and infrastructures rebuilding help is paramount; building supplies and equipment; transportation vehicles, boats and barges; micro-financing assistance and jobs creation.

Q: Is it safe to go to Haiti?

A: It's all relative. Haiti is not more or less safe than other Caribbean islands. You must travel in groups and be vigilant. Always travel with locals who know their ways around.

Q: Where can I get more information about what's happening in Haiti?

A: Go to the Media page, About Haiti/ Haiti Links page for live news, data and statistics and other information.

Q: What's in it for me?

A: It's a mystery. Many travel to Haiti to help as encouragers only to return home as the encouraged, with a new purpose in life and a stronger determination to serve in the Kingdom of God. Try it and share your testimony on the blogspot when you return.

Q: What's in it for You, Haiti Christianity, Inc ?

A: Just one more way "to motivate one another to acts of love and good works." Heb 10:24 (NLT). However, good works do not save people, Jesus-Christ does, for He said: "The work of God is this: to believe in the one He has sent". (meaning Christ Himself) John 6:29, NIV.
